Friday, December 9th

Happy Friday, Everyone!
This week, Room 36 took the first of several Interim Assessments they will take in preparation for the Smarter Balanced Assessment in May.  They worked hard!

Only one more week to go before Winter Break -- but it's a biggie!
On Thursday, we have our Deck the Halls Winter Concert -- the 4th Grade Chorus will perform during this -- and on Friday, the Orchestra will have it's holiday program.

On Friday afternoon, we will have a winter celebration in our classroom.

Also, I have told the students that, while I am generally opposed to homework over "breaks", three weeks is a LONG time.  I am putting together a packet for them this weekend -- nothing too arduous, but I want them to stay sharp!

Have a great weekend!

Thursday, December 1st

Good Evening, Room 36 Families!

So sorry I wasn't able to post yesterday.  Every once in a while, one of my kids has a choir concert or something, and I am just not able to get online after school.
We had Art with Ms. Green today. Please ask them about their Klimt inspired Trees of Life.
Yesterday, those students whose parents were not able to make it to Parent-Teacher Conferences brought home their report cards.  A few of you have requested phone conferences, and I will make those happen next week -- most likely between 3:00-4:00 in the afternoon.
Don't forget: Brentwood's 100th Anniversary Celebration is this Saturday!  The 4th Grade Choir will be performing, and there'll be lots of fun activities for everyone.  I hope to see you there!
